The inventory icon show the levels of inventory at a process stage.
Typically in a value stream mapping project – inventory levels will be counted at each process stage allowing the completed map to show where process bottlenecks exist and where excess inventory is held.
The amount of inventory is usually displayed in numeric form beneath the triangle.
The icon can represent either raw material or finished goods.
